Production Supervisor, Hillington, £28,500 (£14.81ph)We are recruiting for a Production Supervisor to work at our client's business in Hillington Park, Glasgow.

Minimum Training Requirements:
- The disciplinary procedure and process
- Forklift
- Any company software, required for this role.
- The stores system
- All the training requirements of the Production Team Leader
What to expect as a Production Supervisor:
- Working a Monday to Friday day shift
- 8am till 4;30pm with an earlier finish of 4pm on a Friday
- Ensure job books are made available to the Team Leaders where applicable.
- Ensure Team Talks occur on each line and are carried out to the agreed agenda.
- Manage Team Leaders in the full preparation of their lines prior to starting production.
- Monitor Team Leaders hourly management of their lines through the job book are through the same controls if no job book exists.
- Progress any material issues on behalf of the Team Leader as promptly as possible
- Monitor attendance of staff and action where required.
- Work with the factory manager in ensuring a workable production plan is maintained and communicated to all relevant staff.
- After training, the Supervisor will be authorised to issue Disciplinary actions, up to and including the 1st Written Warning stage only.
- Always promote a Continuous Improvement Culture amongst your staff.
- Drive Production to achieve targets on Safety, Quality and Output.
- Ensure the Health & Safety of all Production Staff under his or her control.
- Monitor, Coach and Manage all Production Staff under their control either directly or indirectly.
- Effectively communicate with Production Staff and Management any issues effecting safety, quality or production.
What we're looking for:
- supervisor experience required within a Production, distribution or logistics environment
- Knowledge and experience of Production management systems
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- A solid motivator and leader of people
- Reliable and a good time keeper
Salary:
£28,500.00 per year
