What we are looking for;

The main duties of the post;

  • Deliver projects and activities in line with Citizenship, Art, Sport, Health and Welsh, which includes DoE and youth forums
  • Support young people to become involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of services and activities at the youth club
  • Ensure that local authority policies and procedures are observed in respect to safeguarding, equal opportunities and health and safety
  • Inform the Worker in Charge of any concerns regarding grievances, complaints, incident and or accidents or safeguarding issues
  • Complete all relevant youth club paperwork in accordance with the local authorities procedures and policies
  • Attend three pre term meetings per year
  • Maintain up to date knowledge in the field of Youth and Community Work through undertaking training including the three per term training events
  • Deliver projects and or activities which broaden horizons and promote community cohesion
  • Attend Employment Development Reviews annually and identify training and development needs

You will have experience in/of;
Working with young people between the ages of in a variety of settings

Ideally you will have;
Knowledge of the purposes and principles of the youth work curriculum statement for Wales

The relevant national youth work qualification required for registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

4 GCE/GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent.

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) before employment commences is mandatory.
