Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, in Cupar ,St Andrews and Newburgh. You will provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, providing personal care, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
Must be a driver with own car.
Duties:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help patients with mobility and transfers
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist in the implementation of care plans for patients
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred but not required
- Strong drive to provide exceptional care to patients
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Familiarity with home care or care home settings is a plus
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
Pay:
£12.00 per hour
