Overview:


The role of "Feature Delivery Lead" is a specific requirement within the MSS Basel III programme, supporting delivery of an "internal models ready" infrastructure, where the calculation of P&L, BAU risk measures and in some cases Full Reval VAR has beenexternalised for 3rd part primary trading systems to an in house "Valuation Service" which is cloud portable.

Though over time the assignment of this individual to any given change programme will flex, as will the nature of their specific role within thatchange programme.


Essential Skill Set Required:


  • A handson approach to making things happen, identifying and addressing issues and risks in the project delivery
  • Excellent Business Knowledge borne out of deep experience in a capital markets environment, specifically within FX or Equities
  • Experience with both inhouse developments and thirdparty products
  • Exposure to global initiatives/projects/programmes
  • A background that includes expertise in regulatory change initiatives or other large multidisciplinary change in a capital markets environment
  • A background in system development lifecycle methodology techniques and documentation
  • Qualifications in any of the following: SAFe, Prince2, Agile Programme Management / PMI
  • A sound understanding of the role that support functions such as operations, risk and finance play in investment banking
  • Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate effectively with peers and senior stakeholders in both business and technology / service departments
  • Deliveryfocused to produce pragmatic approaches to solution delivery
  • Exceptional organisational, planning and management skills
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
  • Skilled decisionmaker considered and timely
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and to contribute to a larger team

Purpose of Job:


The Feature Delivery Lead role is accountable for delivery of asset class specific scoped features within the MSS Basel III programme to drive towards IMA readiness.


This job manages change initiation, design and delivery and is accountable for successful delivery of the programme and ensuring benefits realisation.

The remit is global and will require significant investment banking experience and the capability to driveagile delivery in a complex environment.


Most importantly the remit of this role extends across the management of deliveries from both business and IT teams and spans front to back from trading, Product Control to Middle Office and Risk Management.


Responsible for:

In general this role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

  • Owns agile roadmap and drives E2E delivery for the feature
  • Ensures the front to back feature team(s) are operating effectively, breaking down any barriers to efficient delivery
  • Accountable to the Central Programme via E2E delivery managers
  • Provides metrics & reporting management as defined by the programme
  • Facilitates and coordinates governance forums
  • Supports the PO in defining achievable release and sprint roadmaps
  • Ensures the integration of feature work is sequenced and prioritised correctly
  • Facilitates iterative delivery and ensures there is a continuous flow of work across business and technology
  • Continually refines and improves the agile at scale delivery approach, working alongside the E2E delivery manager and other feature leads
  • Sequences and manages feature RAIDS and dependencies
