What you can expect to be doing:

This role does involve basing yourself in offices in Dorset to chair meetings face to face and be available for consultations with social workers and team managers.

You will be expected to organise and facilitate a range of meetings to meet the needs of the child, young person or family as defined by statutory obligations under the Children Act & Working Together.

We need you to be able to develop relationships with children, young people and parents to ensure they have a strong voice and are able to ownership of their plans.

Having the skills to engage children, young people and their families so they are able to participate fully in meetings about them, is essential.


The role involves being able to chair complex multi agency meeting and build plans with children, families and partner agency's to promote the safety and outcomes for all the children/young people and their families.

Supporting and challenging operational practice through the escalation process to enable service improvement and positive outcomes for children and young people is also a key part of this role.


The work is varied and will involve providing specialist advice and guidance to operational staff, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of professionals and partners, contribution to the quality assurance framework and supporting service improvement through the identification of themes and issues.
