Description
Role:
To engage, educate, equip, enable, encourage and empower parents and carers of neurodiverse children, young people and families, and the professionals who support them, including needs associated with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, specific learning difficulties, SEN and disability and associated mental health needs.

- support the smooth running of the organisation, including general day to day administration tasks and provide cover for other team members and the office as required.
Requirements:
- a recognised qualification in teaching (minimum Teaching and Learning Level 3), information, advice and guidance and / or coaching and mentoring, parent / carer, family, community work or a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate experience and ability in this work.
- wide ranging / extensive knowledge and understanding of the needs of and challenges faced by neurodiverse children, young people and their families, including needs associated with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, specific learning difficulties, SEND and associated mental health needs and genuine insight into the impact on family life, education and social inclusion and emotional wellbeing.
- skilled and experienced in researching, designing, developing and delivering learning opportunities, training events / workshops and facilitating group work (face to face and online) for parents / carers of neurodiverse children and young people and familes, and for the professionals who support them.
- skilled and experienced in engaging, welcoming and encouraging participants to access and to participate.
- demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong facilitation skills, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment and positive experience for all.
- strong planning, organisation, administrative and time management skills, being able to work independently and closely with the rest of the team with a resourceful and confidential approach.
- a clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently across Cheshire and Merseyside and the North West region, working within the communities across the geographical areas in which we work, from the office and detached.
- work during the evenings, weekends and school holidays to deliver learning and activities, attend events as well as work from the office.
We are recruiting to support the organisation's delivery across a variety of contracts / grants over the next twelve months (with potential for extension dependent upon funding) and to support its ongoing development and expansion.
