Purpose of the role
The role holder will carry out the day-to-day processes related to our Learning Management System (LMS). They will be responsible for providing an excellent level of service and support to all of our colleagues whether they use the system to deliver or access learning


Main responsibilities
Learning Management

  • Work with key stakeholders to plan and schedule facilitated sessions making sure that all of the admin Learning Platform processes are adhered to and that all pre and post session resources are available to tutors and/ or delegates.
  • Follow the course review process to decide if sessions should go ahead based on a number of contributing factors and ensuring efficient tutor coverage and course occupancy balance
  • Review young people's risk assessments and delegate's specific needs, making arrangements as appropriate.
  • Process basic platform configuration tasks such as creating or editing playlists, curriculums, communities etc.
  • Administer the LMS comms requests
  • Manage costs within set parameters including venue hire, travel and accommodation as and when required.
Learner Support

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service by responding to Learner enquiries and technical queries resolving issues and escalating appropriately as required.
  • Lead on demo sessions of the learning platform to promote learning selfserve and engagement
  • When agreed to take courses off self
- serve booking, providing the necessary admin support.

System performance

  • Produce basic reports and analyse data and insights to inform decisions to enhance the effectiveness of the system and identify issues and trends
  • Maintain systems and database integrity by adhering to processes and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Identify data issues and trends, escalating, troubleshooting and resolving as required
Project support

  • Maintain planning documents, ensuring that actions, timescales and deadlines are clear
  • Highlight risks and issues for effective delivery and support the creation of mitigating strategies
  • Work within existing communication channels to ensure relevant information disseminated to all stakeholders, enhancing existing channels where necessary
  • Identify, collect, develop and share good practice case studies across the organisation as required
Personal development

  • Ensure ongoing personal development to maintain own skills, support the team and the learning of others
  • Build internal and external networks and keep abreast of the external world in respect of learning
Team Member

  • Actively participates in meetings
  • Works and behaves in accordance with all BRC policies and procedures
  • Supports other team members
  • Upholds the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
