Description

We are looking for a Housing Resettlement Officer to join a Local Authority to assist with customers, including those with refugee status, who are in need of temporary accommodation.

This is a hybrid role (with three days in the office) based in Hertfordshire.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Liaising with landlords of the council's private sector housing options
Assisting the Homelessness Prevention team in helping customers
Assisting with finding individuals accommodation as part of a 'move on' plan
Providing customer service advice to customers regarding repayments, charges and arrears
Experience of working with customers with a refugee status
Experience of working with private sector landlords
Experience of providing accommodation offers and the associated assessments
An understanding of relevant housing and homelessness legislation
