Job title:
Press Brake Operative

Hours of Work:
Mon - Fri minutes lunch and 15 minutes morning break)

Hourly rate of pay (PAYE):£Negotiable (dependent on experience)

Overtime:

Over 40 hours Monday-Friday paid at a time and a third.

Saturday paid at a time and a half

Sundays paid at a time and three quarters

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications
Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings for each job
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
Perform basic maintenance on machines as needed
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes

Skills:

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments accurately
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, angles, and tolerances
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the press brake machine
Attention to detail to ensure precise bending and forming of sheet metal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
