Description
Our 60-acre estate is our greatest asset.

Bethany is far more than just a school. We're a unique charity and educational community set in 60 acres of the stunning Weald of Kent countryside. In recent years we've created an indoor swimming pool, built a sixth form Centre, and a dedicated fitnesssuite.

Right now, we're focusing on the construction of a purpose-built performing arts centre that will open in 2024 and empower our pupils to express themselves to the full.

In this position, you will make sure all these assets are safe, secure, compliant and fit for purpose.

Working closely with the Bursar you will be taking ownership of our ambitious estates strategy, as you procure facilities management contracts, defineand deliver planned and reactive maintenance and lead a closely-knit team to achieve best performance and best value.

Your remit will extend across grounds, maintenance, cleaning and more, and you will go the extra mile to ensure that our superb facilitiesare presented to optimal effect, whilst carefully controlling budgets and costs.

Managing projects, engaging contractors and consulting with stakeholders should be second nature to you, and you will be commercially astute, highly organised and well versed in health and safety requirements.

A relevant estates management experience wouldbe very useful, as would a formal safety certification (IOSH or NEBOSH) but it's your computer and ability to work with and motivate your teams, as well as a clear vision for the future and drive and determination to make a difference, that will matter most.

In return, we offer excellent conditions of employment within a friendly school community with a welcoming Christian ethos.

Central London is less than an hour away, as is the Channel Tunnel, so this is the perfect location in which to be based and we caneven offer onsite accommodation if you need.
