We are recruiting for a ContinuousImprovement Manager to join our growing continuous improvement team and support our Defence sector. We are a crucial support service to the business providing insights into process optimisation and workforce efficiency.


The will be experienced in delivering business transformation, working with stakeholders at all levels and able to drive continuous improvement projects to successful completion for SSCL's employees and clients.

The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsiblefor delivering end-to-end process reviews, identifying recommendations and work packages to transform business processes, partnering with client groups in CI forums as well as supporting the LCS accredited CI training programme and initiatives.

You will bean expert practitioner and certified in Lean Six Sigma with previous experience of leading large-scale transformation projects.

What you'll be doing:


  • Working alongside a wider team to develop and deliver the CI strategy for SSCL Defence
  • Leading on operational process endtoend reviews
  • Identifying areas of weakness and report recommendations to resolve
  • Be a partner to Key SSCL Delivery teams with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Managing key business improvement projects
  • Delivering CI training to the business (Yellow and Green Belts)
  • Coaching Yellow and Green Belts to certification
  • Be the SSCL Client business partner to cofacilitate CI forums
  • Working closely with the wider CI Team to ensure shared best practices and attainment of business goals
  • Maintaining and further developing an indepth knowledge and expertise within this specialist area through networking and research in order contribute to the team's success

What you'll bring:


  • A track record of delivering continuous improvement projects and process optimisation reviews ideally within Defence or Public Sector industry
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Qualification
  • Ability to recognise and remove process bottlenecks to help improve delivery timeliness
  • Confidence in establishing key metrics to measure process outputs
  • Excellent Facilitation skills (Kaizen/Rapid Improvement Events)
  • Excellent Organisation Skills
  • Experienced CI trainer
  • Strong coaching skills

Up to £70,000 per annum
