Overview:


Harrow Council is looking for a Restorative Justice Coordinator to join our team and support delivery of restorative practices across the team and wider services.


The Restorative Justice Coordinator will have responsibility for maintaining and overseeing the delivery of all restorative justice work by the YOT and raise awareness of the benefits of bringing victims of youth crime and those responsible together.

This post will be offered on a Secondment/Fixed Term contract.


About you:


We are looking for a dedicated and innovative individual to assist alongside the Victim Liaison Officer with the delivery of all restorative justice work within Harrow Youth Justice Service.

You will have completed approved Restorative Justice Facilitator training to enable you to facilitate conferences and mediation as required and be confident in promoting the benefits of restorative practices across the team and wider services.


You will be responsible for developing and delivering reparation projects which benefit both the young person and community and oversee a small cohort of reparation volunteers.

You must be able to engage young people to support them in understanding how reparation and other restorative interventions can benefit both them and their victims or community.


You will be familiar with the YJB Referral Order guidance and be able to arrange and attend panels in accordance with local timescales.

You will have had experience of delivering panel member training and provided support and advice to volunteers.
