Want to get involved? We're looking for a standout communicator with experience of writing technical documentation and creating training materials (or experience of one and a good grasp of how you might do the other).

The role:


You will work alongside the business to produce and maintain of a wide range of materials relating to the delivery of software and services, including user manuals, administration manuals, videos, quick reference guides, training manuals and presentations.


In addition, you are encouraged to have a continuous improvement mindset, and a real sense of initiative to creatively and proactively develop and deliver innovative training solutions for both colleagues and clients.


Duties include:


  • Developing an indepth understanding of the product's functionality, features, and best practice, and being able to articulate these and the value they add to customers, in order to help them get the most out of their use of our software.
  • Owning and maintaining the integrity and quality of product documentation / training content and training delivery
  • Liaising with developers and consultancy teams across the business to understand the technology and products for which documentation / training is required.
  • Delivering documentation in line with release timescales
  • Delivering remote webbased training and inperson training to our staff and clients.
  • Updating learning and development content to align with product materials
  • Liaising with customers and staff to gather and understand documentation and training requirements
  • Authoring and maintaining product documentation including software help files, training materials, release notes and other product related materials.
  • Evaluating current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
  • Obtaining a deep understanding of our product range and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
  • Developing collateral in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all content.
  • Designing and developing training materials. Videos. Elearning material and example training data
  • Using differentiation to cater to a variety of learning styles.

Required skills and experience:


  • Proven experience as a Technical Author / Trainer
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to establish credibility and influence at all levels
  • Strong influencing ability and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in designing technical content
  • Ideally some knowledge and exposure to the BI industry, although that's a bonus
