- £30,595 - £32,800 (DOE & Qualifications) OTE

  • At Greenleaf House, we have permanent, fulltime (at 40h pw) and parttime contracts availableThis role means working 14hour shifts always followed by a sleepover on a pattern of 2 days on & 3 days off. Can you commit to this working pattern?_
  • SVQ Level 3 / HNC in Social Care desirable_
  • PVG & SSSC Registration within 3 months is essential for this role_
  • UK Driving Licence is essential_

A day in the life of an RCPand no 2 days are the same

  • To provide care and support to our children & young people in accordance with policies and procedures and practice a Therapeutic Parenting approach to delivering the role.
  • To contribute to the assessment process for young people and be involved with ongoing support programs in conjunction with other key employees.
  • To always ensure positive support to children & young people.
  • To attend planning and review meetings where appropriate.
  • To participate in a key person system.
  • To ensure relevant reports are kept in addition to appropriate record keeping information collection and exchange.
  • To work within a shift system including night duty.
  • To undertake health & safety checks and other safety/security checks as necessary.
  • To participate in ongoing training as directed for the maintenance and development of relevant skills for the successful delivery of your duties.
  • To implement deescalation and physical intervention strategies as necessary and appropriate in line with mandatory training.
  • Promote young peoples' participation, to ensure young people are actively involved in the environment and day to day activities of the home.
  • To comply with the code of conduct as required by the SSSC.
  • To be fully aware of safeguarding and child protection issues.
  • To fully understand the reporting process of child protection within service.
  • To understand the principles of safeguarding young people, staff, and self.
  • To have a full understanding of the emergency call out procedures of the house.
  • To promote structure, boundaries, and domestic routines within the house.
  • Participate in, and complete records for statutory reviews and meetings concerning the children & young people were required.
  • Undertake relevant training programs as required by the Company, SSSC & National Care Standards and be responsive to own personal development.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, hygienic, and clean environment.
