We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join our team. The position is very demanding and will be focused on delivering the best Person Centred Care possible.Applicants will need to have (or working towards) level 3 Diploma or NVQ in Health and Social Care. A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience of leading teams in a care setting environment.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist the management to deliver best practice in the delivery of care, to meet the assessed needs of residents.
- To comply with all policies, procedures and practices in line with all legislative requirements including the relevant Care Home Regulations, National Minimum Standards, GSCC Codes of Practice and The Lawns Residential Homes procedures and policies to ensure best practices.
- To ensure that all residents receive a high quality standard of care and are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
- To ensure that the care of residents is provided within a safe environment that addresses their holistic needs and enables individual assessed needs to be met.
- To be responsible for leadership of a shift care team and to support and supervise all staff on duty.
- To ensure that residents receive care in accordance with their Care Plan to meet their assessed needs.
- To ensure that care records are fully completed before the end of each shift and that records are signed by the person making the entry.
- Ensure the correct control, storage and administration of medication in accordance with the Care Homes Regulations.
- To ensure that any enquiries from residents or relatives are appropriately and promptly responded to and records kept.
- To take responsibility for contacting and liaising with other professionals including Doctors, Community nurses, hospitals, ambulance services, social workers/ care managers, as required.
- To ensure ongoing positive liaison and communication between, families, other agencies, and the community.
- To attend internal and external training courses and maintain up to date awareness of issues relating to services for older people and statutory training requirements.
- To ensure that the requirements of the Data Protection Act and other related legislations are met, ensuring confidentiality of records is maintained, and that records are up to date, accurate and secure.
- To actively participate in supervision sessions and appraisal, review and planning sessions, staff meetings and other meetings as necessary.

From £13.10 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 35 per week
