JOB PURPOSE
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To deliver a range of support and assessment activities, including working on a 1:1 and small group basis.
To participate in the assessment process, using a variety of methods and techniques and provide effective, timely and appropriate feedback to pupils to support their learning.
To contribute to the ongoing development of pupils learning, in a manner that support schools plans.

JOB FEATURES

Dimensions
- a) Deliver academic and emotional support for pupils across KS3, KS4 and/or KS5 as appropriate.
- b) Develop and maintain involvement in teaching and support plans with respect to pupil development on an ongoing basis throughout year.

Planning & Organising
- a) Effective organisation skills to manage time and prioritise as appropriate support duties for pupils
- c) Plan and organise support duties for the duration on the placement.

Decision Making
- a) Take decisions as appropriate in accordance with assessment processes and tutorial content.
- b) Prioritise own work and be pro-active

Internal/External Relationships
- a) Staff/pupils to advise and motivate.
- c) pupils for teaching and learning support.
- d) Academic support/ school services for appropriate advice and for exchanging information.
- e) Student support services, to exchange information, refer/ support students.
- f) Interaction with academic colleagues throughout the school to exchange ideas and information about teaching support practices and outcomes of pupils.

Problem Solving
- b) Solve and listen to pupil problems regarding academic achievements
- c) Assist pupils with pastoral issues.
