The post:

The post holder will have prime responsibility for a total budget (capital and revenue) in excess of £25M per year and typically IT services procured annually for NHS Scotland and other bodies to a Total Contract Value (TCV) in excess of £35M, covering staff, capital projects, contracts, equipment, supplies and expenses.

This role is responsible for providing high level strategic and operational leadership for one of the Digital and Security directorate's major Service Areas.

The post holder is fully accountable for the delivery of business objectives, management of performance, and quality of deliverables in their area.

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline with a post-graduate qualification/certification in an IT related field or significant demonstrable experience in these areas.

Location:

The role has a permanent location based in Glasgow or Edinburgh but flexible working will allow the post holder to operate from a remote location on a regular basis.

The post holder must be prepared to attend the fixed location at the request of the organisation when deemed essential.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
