Description

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team.

We are looking to hire a full-time receptionist on our friendly medical services team at Southend Hospital.


You will provide an efficient and effective reception service and will be required to work as part of a team, and to have a flexible and professional attitude to work.

You will work closely with the departmental secretaries, and clerical staff to provide a good service to services within the Medical Specialties Division

To provide an efficient reception and administrative service to departments within the Medical Specialties division

Opening the reception area in the morning and ensuring a safe environment for patients in the waiting room throughout the day

Using Hospital systems to book patients into clinic and record their outcomes once they have been seen

To pick up any missing outcomes from the clinics, adding them to Medway as required

All patient related administration duties using the electronic referral system

Booking follow ups into the correct clinics within the required time frame

Ensuring patients are waiting in the correct area, and following current Covid 19 guidelines

Closing the reception desk at the end of the day, locking away any confidential information and ensuring the waiting area is left tidy

To work alongside your team members, and provide help where necessary during busy periods
