Head of Quality Control - Pharmacy

Great Ormond Street Hospital are looking for an experienced ambitious enthusiast leader in Quality Control to join a new senior leadership team in pharmacy at GOSH.

It is an exciting time at GOSH and you will have an opportunity to build on your experience leading our licenced manufacturing unit and working closely with our gene therapy team.

Support for working towards Qualified Person status will be offered as we develop more services and products at GOSH.


This role strategically and operationally manages all aspects of Quality Control and Assurance, operational, commercial and business opportunities for this area across Pharmacy services.

Takes direct accountability for the quality assurance of products manufactured at GOSH
.

In particular the quality assurance service provides support to ensure the delivery of GMP across the MHRA-licensed pharmacy production service, the delivery of GDP in the MHRA-licensed pharmacy distribution service and the delivery of GCP related to pharmaceutical aspects of clinical trials.

Working closely with the team in Gene and Cell Therapy this role will be part of a team to build an academic training facility to develop workforce in this area including opportunities to develop into the role of Qualified Person.


The manufacturing facilities at GOSH will be developing into new facilities and the post holder will be key in developing and designing world class manufacturing for the future delivery of services for paediatrics.

Paediatric experience is not essential.
