Looking for that first step role into HR? Experienced in HR Admin and looking for your next step? Either / or, our client, that operates in the engineering manufacturing sector, is looking to appoint a People Administrator on an initial 6 month FTC basisas a result of internal promotion and expansion.

This role could be extended or made permanent.

You will support the People Advisor in day to day people administration tasks such as:

  • First-line response for People department queries
  • Manage talent acquisition activity
  • Pointofcontact for new joiners and follow up on references, medical questionnaires, right to work checks
  • Onboard new starters onto systems
  • Coordinate leavers
  • Manage and keep updated the HRIS
  • Assistance to the People Advisor in the monthly payroll collation
  • Administer employee benefits
  • Draft paperwork i.e. offer letters, contracts
  • Take notes for key meetings where needed (absence reviews, disciplinary and grievance meetings)
  • Administer company cars and hire cars
  • Manage and ensure GDPR compliance of personnel files

Background:


  • Educated to GCSE grade A-C level including Maths & English
  • Previous HR experience
  • Administration experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive data with discretion

Desirable:


  • CIPD qualified (Level 3)
  • Experience working in manufacturing or engineering industry
  • Experience of working with Sage and IRIS HR
  • Sound and uptodate understanding of HR and organisational development practices
