Looking for that first step role into HR? Experienced in HR Admin and looking for your next step? Either / or, our client, that operates in the engineering manufacturing sector, is looking to appoint a People Administrator on an initial 6 month FTC basisas a result of internal promotion and expansion.
You will support the People Advisor in day to day people administration tasks such as:
- First-line response for People department queries
- Manage talent acquisition activity
- Pointofcontact for new joiners and follow up on references, medical questionnaires, right to work checks
- Onboard new starters onto systems
- Coordinate leavers
- Manage and keep updated the HRIS
- Assistance to the People Advisor in the monthly payroll collation
- Administer employee benefits
- Draft paperwork i.e. offer letters, contracts
- Take notes for key meetings where needed (absence reviews, disciplinary and grievance meetings)
- Administer company cars and hire cars
- Manage and ensure GDPR compliance of personnel files
Background:
- Educated to GCSE grade A-C level including Maths & English
- Previous HR experience
- Administration experience
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to handle confidential/sensitive data with discretion
Desirable:
- CIPD qualified (Level 3)
- Experience working in manufacturing or engineering industry
- Experience of working with Sage and IRIS HR
- Sound and uptodate understanding of HR and organisational development practices
