About Us:


Our client's school is a co-educational special school providing education for 140 pupils aged 4 to 16 with moderate learning difficulties, many of whom have additional complex needs, including autism.

Our school comprises two campuses, primary and secondary, located in Hampton and Twickenham respectively. Additionally, we manage an offsite centre, catering to 20 pupils aged 11 to 16.


Our client has a dedicated team collaborating to deliver the best education and pastoral care, ensuring that their school is a place of learning for everyone.

We are currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team. Our client upholds high expectations for both their learners and staff.

With our "small schools" and small class sizes, we ensure that every student receives consistent and supportive attention tailored to their individual needs.

Our goal is to facilitate enjoyable learning experiences, challenge students, and empower them to achieve their full potential.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with severe and complex learning difficulties, autism, and physical/sensory disabilities.
  • Assisting in the implementation of individualized educational plans.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Encouraging student engagement and participation in learning activities.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
