DE&S (Defence Equipment & Support) and SDA (Submarine Delivery Agency) are hiring multiple Associate Business Analysts to join our IMIT function, based in MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol.


You will help to deliver a transformation program at the heart of DE&S and SDA, working with the Business Analysis community, senior stakeholders to support the information systems, enabling better decision making.

You will join a team that supports the analysis, identification, and implementation of system improvements, acting as a catalyst for change across the organisation.


The roles could be perfect for someone from a development background or solid knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, who wants to build a career in Business Analysis and focus on driving process improvements and innovation.


You will need excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to elicit detailed requirements, and challenge your customers in a consultative, constructive, and collaborative manner.

**About the role

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Investigate and gather requirements to inform the development of new or improved business solutions.

  • Identify process improvements within project work and raise these to the appropriate stakeholder.
  • Look for new and innovate ways to achieve business outcomes.
  • Grow own knowledge of specialist areas to develop own capability further. Contribute to the work of the team, function by suggesting improvements or new ways of working to improve the quality of the Business Analysis work.
  • Be an active part of the Business Analysis community, attend meetings and participate in working groups.

Person specification

  • Experience of business analysis & information gathering
It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following desirable criteria:

  • Working towards an International Diploma in Business Analysis and/ or BCS Certification in Business Analysis
