The role

We are currently recruiting for a fixed-term post in our Public Health division to support Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a welcoming, multi-disciplinary health protection team (within our Public Health division) with a strong culture of supporting staff development.


We are looking for a highly motivated, outcome-focused, energetic and an enthusiastic individual to join our team to achieve the best health outcomes for our residents of Richmond and Wandsworth.


This job offers an exciting opportunity to lead on areas within the health protection portfolio such as immunisation and screening programmes, weather preparedness, emergency planning and response.


We are looking for someone:

  • Who will provide health protection advice, expertise and support working with a range of partner organisations, professionals and the public
  • Who is comfortable working in a fastpaced team on multidisciplinary and multiagency programmes and initiatives
  • Who is keen to learn, develop and gain new experiences.
  • Who will embrace diversity and be able to work and influence people from all walks of life.
  • Who has relevant public health experience and is comfortable leading on various public health programmes undertaking health needs assessments, planning, supporting and developing plans and strategies, managing projects, and writing and presenting quality reports and briefings to various audiences and supporting your line manager.
