An opportunity has arisen for a37.5 hour per week, 2 year fixed term Band 3 Senior Therapy Assistantto join the Orthopaedic Therapy Team at Peterborough Hospital.

If you are enthusiastic and motivated with a passion for caring, this role could be for you.

The role involves;

  • Supporting patients mobility and transfers
  • Assisting the therapists and wider MDT with discharge planning
  • Completing functional tasks delegated by the therapists to support the patient in returning to their previous level of function.
  • Assisting on visits to patients homes to assess their discharge needs.
  • To support patients, their families and carers to maximise their participation in the attainment of their rehabilitation goals by following treatment programmes developed and provided by the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) involved
  • To work as a supervised member of the multidisciplinary team, maintaining good communication with the AHPs, and other members of the multidisciplinary team e.g. doctors, nurses and social workers to try to achieve the Predicted Date of Discharge (PDD).
