What you will do in your working day

  • Learn daily routine and why it is so
  • Understand safeguarding and health and safety practices
  • Learn about the individual children
  • Become a familiar adult for the parents
  • Undertake care duties
  • Understand behavioural expectations
  • Begin to understand the EYFS and statutory Framework
  • Start to complete observations and assessments
  • Initiate the changes in the daily routine
  • Share information with parents about their children
  • Become a Key Person for 1 or 2 children
  • Start to assess children's development and behaviour
  • Planning adultdirected activities and enhancements to the environment
  • Become an integral part of developing the curriculum according to the children we have
  • Using knowledge/ research to impact policy and practice
  • Have effective relationships with parents where knowledge about the child from both sides is imparted
  • Begin to take responsibility and roles for certain aspects of the preschool

What to expect before starting
-
Before starting, we aim to train and upskill individuals with our NOCN accredited courses, these will be once a week, every two weeks, over a three month period. Upon completion of each course, you will receive a certificate. Not only does this look amazing on your CV for employers, but you're able to upskill yourself at zero cost

Salary:
From £9,000.00 per year
