CEO required for my client, a well established UK Charity that provides safe, supported accommodation and life skills to people with mild to moderate mental health conditions with the aims of a return to independent living.

The Trust operates multiple sitesof accommodation and is responsible for numerous residents at any one time.


The Board of Trustees are seeking an experienced individual as Chief Executive Officer who will commit to providing the best possible quality of support structure to the residents of the Trust with empathy and compassion and is highly motivated, resilientand flexible.


Responsibilities of the the CEO:

  • To provide the leadership necessary to ensure that the aims of the Trust are fully implemented
  • To prepare a strategic plan and annual budget for approval by the Board of Trustees
  • To operate within the annual budget and liaise closely with the Finance Manager
  • To identify and secure sustainable funding
  • To ensure that all policies and procedures are managed and kept up to date
  • To recruit, support, inspire and empower the management and staff teams
  • To oversee the proprietary Resident Management System
  • To act as an advocate of the Trust and its staff and residents
  • To ensure the health and safety, and safeguarding, of all residents and Trust property
  • To work with the Board of Trustees to ensure the highest standards of governance

You will be rigorous and diligent when fulfilling your duties

Advocacy: You will be the face of the Trust and will effectively promote and communicate the charity and its aims

Interpersonal Skills:You will build and maintain constructive relationships with residents, staff, trustees, the local council and businesses

Organisational Skills: You will be a highly organised individual with exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written, either one-to-one or in front of a large group of people

Financial: You will possess strong financial knowledge and liaise with the Finance Manager, Treasurer and Finance Sub-Committee to set and operate an annual budget and work with the Fundraising Committee to build a surplus for charity

Flexibility: You will be open and committed to change, and react creatively and rapidly to adapt to new information, fast-changing conditions and unexpected circumstances

Experience: You will have significant experience in a leadership or senior management role in the charity sector and dealing productively with committees and boards. A background in health and social care is desirable
