HR Specialist - Part time

Wellingborough (office-based role)

c£30,000 full time equivalent salary

Part time hours, across 5 days.

We're working with a multiple award-winning manufacturing business based in Wellingborough, market leaders in their industry. They've been established for over 40 years and have three other sites in the UK.

As HR Specialist, you will provide an efficient and effective HR service to all Group companies.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Draft, issue and monitor the return of offer packs and new starter information/documentation.
  • Manage the On-Boarding of new starters.
  • Coordinate the Probation Review process and support line management.
  • Coordinate and advise on the Absence management processes.
  • Coordinate and advise managers on Disciplinary and Grievance processes.
  • Coordinate employee contract changes and pay reviews.
  • Manage leavers process.
  • Coordinate and deliver colleague announcements, general colleague communications, employee events and engagement activities, charity events etc.
  • Support the Apprentices (office based) to ensure they complete their Apprenticeship and work with colleagues to implement activities to support Apprenticeship retention and development.
  • Coordinate and arrange employee benefit related activities.
  • Support the delivery of Reward and Recognition schemes.
  • Provide reporting and data analysis when required.
  • Engage with key projects and input into improving overall employee experience.
  • Ensure HR system is kept up to date.
What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a HR Coordination/Advisor role is essential.
  • End to end employee journey management experience is desirable.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft office suite and HR Systems.
  • Able to communicate at all levels both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of operational up to date employment law practise
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • CIPD Level 3 / 5 is desirable.
