The Customer Proposition Manager will work within the Virgin Money Investments business, developing customer propositions that enable both new and existing customers to confidently plan and build their financial future with us.


It's an exciting time to join the Customer and Commercial team - as Virgin Money re-launches in market and sets out the roadmap for the next 24 months that will delight customers and establish Virgin Money as a leading force in the non-advised retail investmentmarket.


You'll need to get under the skin of our target audience, their interests, needs and concerns and what makes them tick - and to be able to turn that knowledge into the delivery of great, insight driven, propositions that they love.


This role in a nutshell

  • Defining, developing and delivering a compelling customer value proposition for the investments and pensions business.
  • Leading requirement definition and delivery of proposition development and change initiatives working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Defining and overseeing customer research and testing; understanding business MI and customer feedback to develop understanding of our target audience.
  • Turning insights into proposition delivery that wins and delights customers.
  • Analysing competitor propositions to ensure that our propositions are competitive and stand out in the market, to achieve our desired market position.
  • Development and prioritisation of the customer proposition roadmap.
  • Operating to the required governance standards of the business which includes planning, regular reporting and risk management activities relevant to the Customer and Commercial team and to proposition development.

To be brilliant you must have

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proposition / product discovery and development expertise ideally in a digital first, direct to consumer business
  • Data driven, methodical and structured approach
  • A track record delivering tangible customer and business outcomes
  • Customer focused, with understanding of customer segmentation and targeting
  • Collaborative style, comfortable leading delivery projects in matrix organisation
  • Digital dynamic approach to ways of working, familiar with digital product tools and techniques

The icing on the cake would be

  • Understanding of and experience in agile and waterfall environment(s)
  • Expert investing and pensions market knowledge, including legal and regulatory understanding
