A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Pension Officer within the Shropshire County Pension Fund.

You will assist and deputise for the Pensions Operations Team Leader, in the management of the Operations Team, within the Pensions Administration team.

The Operations team are responsible for the calculations of pension benefits and the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The Pensions Team provides a high-quality administration service to all employees and employers of the Shropshire County Pension Fund. There are currently over 44,000 member of the Scheme and 160+ scheme employers. The team administers the Local Government Pension Scheme.


You will need to be a team player and have a good working knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Good working knowledge of the Altair Administration systems would be an advantage although this is not essential as full training will be given.
