Robert Half Financial Services are currently working exclusively with an Investment Firm in central London helping them source an Accounts Assistant Clerk for a 9-month assignment.

This role also has the possibility of converting to a permanent AccountsAssistant role.


Profile:


This role would be ideal for a finance professional with 2+ years of experience with a finance or operations team, who is looking for a professional environment to further their skills.


  • Have some financial services exposure
  • Strong communicator and able to prioritise tasks
  • Confident using Excel including knowledge of VLookup and reference formulas, pivot tables, and an accounting system (Quickbooks desirable)
  • Have minimum 2 years experience working in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant role.

Rate:
£35,000 - £40,000. Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office.

This Investment Firm was established in 1970 and since then has diversified hugely to cover a wide range of sectors and services.

This firm is still privately owned and has head offices in London, but also operate in Asia, Europe and America.

The business is very ambitious and has a friendly and inclusive culture.


The Role:


The business has recently acquired a new firm, and this will be working with the wider finance team in integrating the new business into the existing as well as helping with the day-to-day finance duties.

As the Accounts Assistant, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working on accounts payable for the business in a thorough and timely manner
  • Calculation and processing of journals
  • Closing down and setting up international bank accounts and suppliers
  • Ensuring fixed asset records are kept up to date
  • Helping with the admin and reconciliation of initial commission fees, trail fees and other fund related fees
  • Supporting with monthly management accounts and analysis, looking at MoM, QoQ changes.

Rate:
£35,000 - £40,000
