A new post has opened for a dedicated Ward Clerk to join the Maternity Ward team at the Royal Preston Hospital.
You will be a member of a team of clerical support staff providing secretarial and administrative support to the safe and effective running of the service.
You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity.
The maternity ward clerk is a highly valued member of the maternity team - if you are hard-working and organised and want to join us please apply.
You should be be enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking and will work as part of a team, contributing to the smooth running of the unit by providing clerical support.
Good IT skills are necessary and knowledge of in-house systems such as Harris Flex would be an advantage but training will be given.
You must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the Trust.
This position would suit a motivated, organised individuals with good communication skills, who would enjoy the challenge of a demanding, but rewarding work environment.

We are looking for a ward clerk who can be organised, motivated and who wants to be part of the care provided to women and families.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Welcoming women and families to the ward environment
- To assist in the efficient flow of patients through the unit
- Assist with unit audits
