Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage the day-to-day functions of the Accounts Department and will bridge the gap between Finance and Operations.


Managing a small accounts team, this is a "hands-on" role to ensure all tasks within the accounts function are completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.

Working closely with the Operations Department, the role will provide accounting and financialsupport to Operations ensuring that projects within the workshop are properly monitored and controlled from a budgeting viewpoint.

Manage and be responsible for a small accounts team and ensuring all day-to-day tasks within the accounts function are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time


Tasks to include:

  • Review and finalisation of monthly management accounts
  • Review of vendors/purchase ledger
  • Review and finalisation of VAT Returns
  • General/nominal ledger update and maintenance
  • Assisting the Finance Director with quarterly and annual group reporting
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions
  • Preparing analyses of sales and cost of sales for group reporting purposes
  • Preparation statutory accounts
  • Assisting the Finance Director with yearend statutory accounts and audit

You will need to have the following experience:

  • Qualified ACCA (or equivalent)
  • Management and Financial Accounts experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Group reporting experience
  • Analytical skills/experience
  • Experience of working with operational staff
  • Experience of running a small accounts office
