Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC)- Central London

Contract Type - Permanent, full time hours 37.5 hrs per week

About the role

Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) has a great opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician/Medicine Management Technician to join their team.

The Senior Pharmacy Technician/MMT is a clinical role in which you will be part of patient-centred care. You will work closely with doctors, nurses and pharmacists in the Chemo Treatment Suite.

In this exciting role you will assess and review the patients' medication with them to ensure drug optimisation by informing patients of the uses, side effects and actions to help patients on the immunotherapy treatment journey.

You can also get involved in drug reconciliation audits and SACT protocols (building or introducing new protocols). LOC are leaders providing the best advanced oncology care to patients.

You will also have access to education on new and improved drugs so that you can appropriately council patients on the uses, side effects etc.

Skills and Experience

Mandatory:

Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
NVQ level 3 in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent
Accredited Checking Technician (ACPT)
Highly Desirable Accreditation in Medicines Management (AIMM) qualification
In house training provided if required.

Desirable

Minimum of 1 year community or hospital experience
