Based in Wells

£30K + Per Annum

6AM -6PM, 4 on 4 off shift basis
Keeping a clean and clear workspace is our clients top priority.

Their hygiene team not only consistently clean throughout the day but also conduct a deep clean of their equipment each evening to ensure that they maintain high hygiene standards.

As the HygieneTeam Leader you would be responsible for the maintenance of these standards across our purpose-built kitchen including ensuring that their new and state of the art cooking equipment remains in good condition.


Duties include:


  • Working in partnership with the various kitchen teams to complete hygiene schedules with as little disruption to other kitchen teams as possible
  • Overall management of all people related activities including the planning of overtime, holiday and sickness for the 10+ member hygiene team
  • Ensuring the hygiene team are trained on all hygiene requitements and support with on the job learning by working closely with the hygiene team trainer to ensure that training records are complete and up to date
  • Maintaining accurate training records
  • Ensuring that the team are aware of the BRC food standards and that these standards are maintained to create the optimum environment for our own brand dishes to be produced
  • Performing ad hoc hygiene tasks as and when required

What you'll need:


  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Leading by example and maintaining high standards within the hygiene department
  • Good working knowledge of the BRC hygiene regulations and practices
  • Good communication and proactive approach to working in partnership with other departments in the kitchen
  • High attention to detail and a strong quality focus
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • A proactive approach to food safety
  • Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals and COSHH
