Job Description - Trainee Sports Coach - Football, Multi-Sport or Dance


We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about sports and coaching to join our team as a Junior Sports Coach.

As a Junior Sports Coach, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced coaches and gain valuable experience in coaching different sports to children and young people.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the senior coaches in planning and delivering sports sessions for children and young people during school holidays.
  • Help to create a safe and fun environment for young people to participate in sports activities.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment for sports sessions.
  • Ensure that all activities are delivered in accordance with the organization's values and safeguarding policies.
  • Support the senior coaches in the mentoring and training of volunteers.
  • Encourage young people to develop their skills and improve their performance in different sports.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, equality and respect among young people.
  • Attend training and development sessions to improve your own skills and knowledge as a sports coach.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements:


  • A passion for sports and coaching.
  • Experience of participating in and/or coaching different sports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop as a sports coach.
  • An interest in working with children and young people.
  • Commitment to following the organisation's values and safeguarding policies.
