Join our
Living Places team as a
Highway Maintenance Ganger on the
Lincolnshire Highways Contract and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work.
Responsible for carrying out a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to kerb laying and footway improvements, laying and compacting asphalt & foam base, drainage work, traffic signal chambers and ducting, vegetation clearance, excavating holes and trenches and working with vacuum excavators.
What you'll be doing
As a
Highway Maintenance Ganger, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Working within a culture of Zero Harm
- embedding the 4 Golden Rules within all aspects of service delivery
- Lead the gang to ensure all works are carried out safely, to the right quality and on time within budget
- Liaise closely with Agent / Supervisor and ensure all briefings are carried out and permits are issued & in place on Site Assist
- Work with BIM 360 Field and ensure quality is captured on iPad
- Working with site information (drawings & specification) to ensure the works are undertaken Right First Time
- Liaise closely with client & Agent / Supervisor to ensure works are undertaken correctly and the change process is managed at a site level
- Be an ambassador for Balfour Beatty at all times.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Driving licence
- Health and Safety first
- Takes pride in work
- Honest / Acts with integrity
- Flexibility of working overtime or shift patterns to meet business requirements
- EUSR Level 2, 3, 4, & 5 in excavation
- Confined Space Training
- Highway Maintenance, Groundworks or Construction experience
- Class 1 or Class 2 LGV Licence
- NRSWA Training
- CSCS Highway Maintenance.
