Description
To assist in the undertaking of arboricultural maintenance of trees within the housing owned land:

  • To support the Arboricultural Officers undertaking the Council's tree maintenance, husbandry and planting programs.
  • Undertake independent tree inspections on council owned land.
  • To assist in monitoring the performance of Contractors in all tree work including the care, maintenance and planting of trees, and to ensure specifications are fully complied with.
  • To assist in giving advice on matters involving trees and attend emergencies as necessary.

Qualifications:


Knowledge & Experience:


  • Good tree and pest identification, knowledge of tree surgery operations and industry best practice, and knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Undertake inspections of Council tree stock, assess tree condition and ensure their health and safety, in accordance with the Council's statutory and tree management policy obligations.
  • At least 2 years' experience working within the Highways department or equivalent.
