Do you have the commitment and values to make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs? Are you passionate about empowering them to improve their quality of life, while supporting them to realise their hopes, dreams and aspirations?

About the role:

This service is a supported living 24 Hour service, 7 days a week. We support individuals with learning disabilities in a block of 7 flats.

As a Support Worker, you'll deliver excellent care, celebrate achievements, encourage fun and creativity and engage directly with the wider community.

This is more than just a job - you will be helping the people we support gain independence and live healthy, happy and fulfilling lives.

The purpose of this role is to provide support with day to day tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry, personal care, medication, social activities and finances.

Some of the people we support are quite independent already and would normally access the community without support, whereas there are others who are supported to access the community for shopping and social activities.

2 of the people we support at this service have their own vehicles and require staff to drive them, therefore a full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Hours:

There are a variety of shifts available, this can be from 7am pm. including waking nights.

Waking Nights pm to 7.15am. 2-3 per month

Location:

This service is located in the small town of Biggleswade.

About you:

We're not looking for any kind of specific experience. It is your personality and values that will make you a good fit for the role and our organisation.

We will train and develop you to become a great support worker if you:

- have genuine empathy for the people we support, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through difficult times.
- enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues.
- have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
- have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
