The Growth Company (GC) have an exciting opportunity for Key Worker in our Work & Health team.

We are looking for Keyworkers We are looking for key workers who will actively interact with each participant, ensuring that the participant is enabled and empowered to successfully complete their individual journey into and progression within the working environment through the delivery of a multi-channel, multi-agency, and multi-place service delivery model.


The GC Employment Team help to make a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout the North of England and beyond, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.


Our highly skilled advisers and key workers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health, and debt.


Key Responsibilities

  • Working with Greater Manchester (GM) residents to be engaged on the Work and Health programme; and a wide range of organisations and agencies that assist in the progression of customers into employment.
  • Named single point of contact for coordinating and sequencing services on behalf of their individual participants.
  • Working with participants to progress them on their journey towards employment and overcoming their work, skills health and personal circumstances barriers.
  • Utilisation of a multichannel platform where, through a range of digital, video and telephony capabilities participants are provided with the flexibility to decide how, when and the frequency with which they engage.
  • Utilising IngeusHub as a single point of digital access for all participants.
  • Responsible for making the right connections with local services to coordinate a focused package of support for each participant.
  • Able to support participants with appropriate prioritisation of solutions for personal circumstances, skills, health as well as employability.
  • Will provide in work support, as required, for participants with high intensity support needs.
  • To ensure that all required entry to the Ingeus database is accurate and compliant.

About You

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work in a targetdriven environment.
  • Experience in the guidance, advice & counselling environments.
  • Knowledge in relation to the issues affecting individuals with multiple barriers to progressing to employment and sustained employment.
  • Knowledge in relation to the support agencies that can assist with individuals with complex needs.

Key Skills

  • Highlevel guidance skills, with the ability to deliver onetoone and group sessions to at least Grade 2 standard is essential.
  • Experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs, including health conditions and disabilities is desirable.
