Description
As a Barclays Counterparty Risk Manager you will assist in driving our risk analysis, review and challenge agenda.You will work both independently and as part of a team to provide expert analysis and commentary on the bank's counterparty risk profile.
In your new role you will be proficient in scripting languages such as Python or R.You will liaise with Sales and Trading to discuss and give consultancy on the risk of derivative and financing transactions, as well as recommend levels for margining.

What will you be doing?:
- Live risking of derivative and securities financing transactions across asset classes
- Portfolio risk analysis and stresstesting of counterparty risk exposures for the bank
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of counterparty risk, looking across market and credit risks
- Assisting with annual model reviews owned by the CRM team, participate in model improvements, recalibrations and impact analysis
- Developing and improving of management information
- Presenting of analysis and results to senior management
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of risk systems and tools
- Ensuring the appropriate model governance and control environment is in place and maintained
What we're looking for:
- Track record in market / counterparty credit risk management with a leading Investment Bank and/or financial institution
- Degree in Finance, Engineering or similar quantitative field
- Good understanding of derivatives and securities financing products and the risks they generate
- Experience with statistical analysis and tools e.g. SQL, R, Python
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Master'sDegree
- Relevant professional certifications e.g. FRM, CFA, CQF
- Experience with SQL, Python
