JMC are working with a leading Engineering business based in Chelmsford, who are looking to recruit Manufacturing Operatives to join their expanding team.

This is a Permanent Position based in Chelmsford. This role is for 39 hours per week, Monday

  • Thursday on the Night Shift. The hours are 17:00 03:30 Monday
  • Thursday. This role pays £15.29 per hour.


The Operative will be responsible for "masking" aircraft components in line with technical requirements prior to surface treatments being applied and de-mask post treatment.

Full training will be provided.


The responsibilities will involve:

  • Mask aircraft components in line with technical requirements.
  • Demask aircraft components post treatment.
  • Ensure all work complies with quality and regulatory requirements.
In order to be successful in this role the ideal Production Masker will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience is desirable
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to work on feet for long periods of time
  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Previous masking experience is not essential as training will be provided.
