Reliability Engineer - Liverpool - Up to £50K


In this role you will lead and support the engineering team to improve reliability standards & processes, including identifying training needs and requirements within the team to aid reliability development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Experience of developing a Preventative maintenance programme through a Computerised Maintenance Management System is a fundamental requirement of the role. The job holder will take ownership of the CMMS and use it to plan, develop and monitor usage whiledriving improvements through KPI reporting.
  • Facilitation and responsibility for asset criticality studies, FMECA development & implementation including continuous improvement process
  • Responsibility for CBM/PDM program including vibration analysis, Infrared thermography, Ultrasonic emissions testing and lubrication best practices. Technical qualifications in relevant fields preferred.
  • Problem solving experience and facilitation including use of relevant problemsolving tools & techniques. Ability to lead and facilitate root cause analysis program to implement and manage effective solutions.
  • The role will be responsible for delivery of the RCM programme, ensuring that critical spares are identified, and PM tasks are SMART.
  • You will work alongside Asset Technicians and Operational teams to develop and embed a Reliability programme, using your experience to influence across all areas and levels of the business. This will include the implementation of Autonomous maintenancein a Packaging Plant so experience in this field would be beneficial.


  • Continuous improvement/Lean experience

  • Implementation and use of CI/Lean techniques and tools would be advantageous
  • Ensure site engineering practises are aligned with industry & wider, external engineering best practises.

Skillset/Experience

  • Minimum HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline
  • Relevant technical qualifications/certifications
  • Member of technical institute preferred
  • Previous experience in a reliability role, leading improvement programmes
