Full time / 37 Hours Per Week / Apprentice Position

Play an integral role in improving dignity, independence and quality of life for people in Leicester.


We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join the Integrated Crisis Response Service (ICRS) as an apprentice Team Support Worker.


The Adult Social Care team works with individual's own abilities, family and the wider community supporting in a strength-based approach.

We work very closely with our Health colleagues, voluntary sector and providers to maintain the health and wellbeing of people in Leicester.

The integrated Crisis Response Service is a short-term service supporting people who find themselves in a crisis.

ICRS aims to support people in their own home and is able to provide a 2-hour response from the point of referral when deemed necessary.

ICRS is a team within a Home First service collocated at the Neville centre, working jointly with ASC and health partners to support the persons journey in the most seamless way.


As a valued member of ICRS, you will work as an office-based Team Support Worker working Monday to Friday within core office hours.

Under supervision and guidance, you'll support a team responsible for receiving referrals for adult social care, providing short term carer support, and liaising with health staff & other professionals & providing appropriate advice and information to individuals and carers whilst undertaking a Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration.


What you'll be doing


You'll be providing information and advice to those in receipt of, or requesting care, their families/carers and other professionals and Identify information which needs escalating and promptly pass on to the relevant person.

You'll also be Logging and maintaining records of work undertaken. This also means updating and maintaining local admin systems, records and databases.

With your excellent communication skills, you'll be liaising effectively with members of multi-disciplinary teams, statutory, voluntary and independent organisations.

For your apprenticeship work you'll be allocated a day to attend college and you'll also need to attend all tutorials/online lectures/tutor meetings/exams, as a specific requirement of and undertake other learning and development (e.g. e-learning, webinars etc)


What you'll need


You'll need to demonstrate a commitment to working in partnership with people and their carers to understand their needs and accurately gather the details of the presenting queries over the phone.

In many instances, you'll be the first point of contact for people requiring our services. Meaning you must be professional, accurate and calm in all situations.

In addition, you'll have great communications and interpersonal skills to be able to provide the caller with helpful and tactful advice and support.
