Description

The Clinical Coding Department is a part of the Corporate Business Unit, which is responsible for internally and externally reported management information as well as commissioning services and systems support.

The Clinical Coding Department is a small but friendly team, who would welcome anybody to join us.

Hours per Week - 2- To collect case notes from the wards and medical secretaries on a daily basis.

  • To collect case notes from medical records on a daily basis.
  • To liaise with medical secretaries, ward personnel, departmental staff and records clerks to locate, retrieve and return case notes to assist the Clinical Coders to meet strict Clinical Coding deadlines.
  • Maintain department procedures for case notes tracking.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all coded and other patient information.
  • To assist the Clinical Coding Administration Clerk as required.
  • The post requires a lot of physical effort to collect lift and distribute clinical case notes.
