Would you like a new challenge? Would you like to make a real difference to patients' treatment? As a senior ward based pharmacy assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Acute Medicine Admissions Wards, Accident & Emergency Department and nursing teams in ensuring that medicines are safely stored and readily available to the wards, clinics and associated areas.

You will assist in the provision of a high quality patient focused medicines management and dispensary service to patients at the Trust.

  • Providing an effective ward based service including medicines management, stock control and organisation as well as checking patient's own medicines
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team at ward level
  • Assisting in the provision of a high quality patient focused service issuing stock, dispensing medicines, controlled drugs and clinical trial
