Description

Software Engineering Manager needed for this well-established rapidly expanding business who are globally recognised as one of the leaders in their field.

Their clients include the world's biggest media brands.

The engineering team is growing, and the software engineering manager will help to lead the team to design, build and deliver the highest quality proprietary software.

This is a 'hands off' role with the focus on leadership rather than coding. You will driveadoption of good practices, both technical and process orientated, and set a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, and recruitment.
The Software Engineering Manager will be working with cross functional teams to ensure the delivery of their product roadmap.

You will have line management responsibility of the software engineering team and be expected to recruit, coach, mentor, evaluate andperformance manage those engineers.

You will help your team organise their work and supervise engineering deliverables.
The right person will have a technical background, with a good mix of:

Git (or other source control)
Kubernetes/Docker (or other containerisation/virtualisation platforms)
Code review
A background in OO coding (e.g. Go, Java, C++, Python, etc)
Web development
Deployment pipelines
Agile/lean working practices
