Hybrid / West Midlands

£50,000 - £65,000 plus circa 15% bonus and some other amazing benefits

My client are a large and nationally recognised financial services business who are known for being one of the UK's 'great places to work' having won multiple awards.

They are headquartered in the West Midlands and offer up to 80% home working.


The Role
We have an opportunity for an IT Auditor to join the Internal Audit team on a permanent basis.

As an IT Auditor you will be part of a team of audit experts who help the Board and Executive Management protect their assets, reputation and the sustainabilityof the organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Assess if significant risks are being identified across the business and whether these risks are being adequately controlled.
  • Make recommendations for improvements concerning governance, risk management and internal controls.
  • Conducting IT audits and reviews and producing valueadding reports of your findings (including recommendations for process and controls improvements).
  • Focus on analysis and testing, you will have the chance to work with a wide range of divisions across the group building your network, and becoming an expert on IT risks in the business.
  • With the support of the team, ensure that the client have robust IT control environments which highlight inefficiencies, security risks, fraud, or noncompliance with regulations / policies.

Knowledge and Experience required

  • Previous experience as an IT Auditor with the ability to assess IT risks, controls and to manage continuous improvement activities.
  • Exposure to IT risk management to successfully assess IT processes and controls (including General / Application controls, IT Service Management Practices, IT Disaster Recovery, Cloud Governance and Operations, Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Management)
  • Must be naturally inquisitive and enjoy investigating and looking for ways to improve the business.
  • Comfortable asking difficult questions and challenging in a diplomatic way.
  • Good at building relationships with stakeholders, and adapting your style to suit different audiences.
  • A CIIA qualification or similar is also preferred.
