**About the role

  • Autism Support Assistant**You will be working within the school's ASD provision with up to 13 students with an EHCP statement of Autism. You will be ably supported by at least 2 other support assistants within the class and an SEN teacher. Your role may vary between working withthe whole group or being assigned a student to work 11 with when needed to be able to support their learning. Many students within the class may also have speech and language difficulties so experience using language communication tools such as PECS or Makatonare highly desirable for applicants but not a necessity as in class training will be given. Comfortability with personal care is a must as some students may need assistance with toileting and changing so any applicants must be willing to perform this task.
