Prudential Regulation Advisor required for the Accounting & Regulatory Policy team of our global Financial Services client.The team provide independent advisory and review services in relation to matters of Accounting and Basel-based Regulation for a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
As a result of this focus, Policy plays a key role in client advisory activities and major Firm projects, helping to shape and influence the future strategy of the Firm.
Based in Glasgow and reporting to Vice President, the role will specifically focus on Regulatory Policy, providing the opportunity to be at the forefront of developments in Regulation impacting the UK and beyond, including Basel IV and the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR 3).
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Playing a key role in Global Regulatory Policy Management, working with senior stakeholders in the US and EMEA.
- Assisting with the delivery of an implementation and roll out of a new digital tooling solution for the team's Regulatory horizon scanning process, including testing and training.
- Training internal stakeholders on technical matters, including key regulatory updates identified through the team's horizon scanning process.
- Developing SME knowledge on areas of Baselbased Regulation, having the opportunity to work alongside crossfunctional teams on major Firm implementation projects, including Basel IV and CRR 3, and assist with the resolution of adhoc advisory queries from internal stakeholders.
- Qualified CA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional certification
- Knowledge of Baselbased Regulation and/or a keen desire to develop SME knowledge in areas of regulatory policy capital, liquidity, credit etc
- Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate technical material to various levels of experience/knowledge both in written and verbal form.
- An interest in working in a fastpaced environment, often balancing multiple high priority deliverables.
- The ability to work independently in a selfdirected way in a collaborative, teamoriented environment.
