Are you good at planning events, working collaboratively with wider teams, and prioritising your workload? If so, we would like to hear from you as we have an opportunity for a Recruitment & Events Planner to join our successful Recruitment Team.


You will be welcomed into our friendly and supportive team who will assist you in developing the skills you already have.

Although previous experience in recruitment is beneficial, it is not essential.

You will need to be able to attend the events some of which may be on weekends, however your day-to-day role will allow you to work remotely at home with selected days in the office.

This role will involve liaising closely with external venue representatives in order to source appropriate event locations.

You will be the first point of contact for recruiting managers who will require assistance with planning and running events.

You will also provide them with advice relating to the recruitment process and the use of the online recruitment system, 'trac'.


You will be responsible for providing a high quality, customer-focused recruitment service to both prospective and current employees, before after and during events and the overall recruitment process.


It would be beneficial to have had experience in event planning, however if you have excellent customer services skills including written & verbal communication, this is not essential.


You will need be able to demonstrate good time management skills, including prioritising of workload, and have the ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Most of all, you will display a commitment to providing an excellent recruitment and events service to the managers and applicants to the Trust.

To organise events for the specific directorate working with managers, staff and others to ensure attendance of relevant parties, booking and organising location and advertising liaising with the Directorate allocated project lead, Digital Recruitment Specialist and Recruitment Lead.

Assist in the planning and project management of allocated Recruitment events, including recruitment open days and online recruitment campaigns. Liaising with the manager and Digital Recruitment Lead on marketing and advertising.


Deal efficiently and effectively with all incoming enquiries in a timely manner ensuring that any follow up actions required are noted or passed to a colleague accordingly.

Act as a first point of contact for allocated recruitment plans and associated events.

Communicate information relating to the whole recruitment process to colleagues, recruiting manager's and applicants in a timely manner.


Provide advice to managers relating to the recruitment process and the use of Trac referring issues as necessary to the Recruitment Team Leaders.

Send out interview invite letters and reference letters within set timescales via Trac.

To ensure that all necessary Pre-employment checks are completed before an unconditional offer is produced.

Provide the Contract of Employment for all new starters with, the final, unconditional offer.
